The mission of the Sugar Creek Police Department is to form a partnership with the community and work within that partnership to maintain the public peace and improve the quality of life by providing fair and impartial police services in a profressional manner.

Crime & Traffic Statistics

Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) is a system used by the Federal Bureau of Investigation to collect and analyze crime date in the United State.  These statistics are the basis for many research projects.

Glossary:
Aggravated Assault - An attack upon a person, usually with a weapon for the purpose of inflicting severe bodily injury.

Arson - Any willful burning or attempt to burn a building, vehicle or other personal property.

Auto Theft - The theft of a motor vehicle.

Burglary - The unlawful entry of a structure to commit a felony or theft.

Homicide - The willful killing of a human being.

Larceny - Stealing the property of another.

Rape - Forcing a female to engage in sexual intercourse against her will.

Robbery - To take or atttempt to take anything of value from another person by force or threat of violence.
