| Nobody is quite sure how Sugar Creek got its name.
Some trace it Indian folklore. Others to the sugar maples growing along the
creek banks that gave the water its unique flavor. Today, the City of Sugar
Creek boasts of its own unique flavor. Nestled in the suburban area of Kansas
City, Missouri, Sugar Creek offers the charm of a small town with all the
advantages of a big city location. Here you will find neighbors who care for
each other, a progressive and accessible city government and a vibrant business
community. In short, it's a special place where life is a little sweeter.
